CKC Rhizoflo

CKC Rhizoflo is a unique dual formulation bio-fertilizer containing Rhizobium bacteria that promote Nitrogen and Phosphorus solubilisation for improved plant performance. CKC RHIZOFLO contains two rhizobium bacteria – Pseudomonas fluorescens and Azospirillum brasilense – which facilitate the optimal solubilisation of Phosphorus and provide bioavailable Nitrogen.

Mode of Action

When applied to a crop P. fluorescens contained in CKC RHIZOFLO facilitates the optimal solubilisation of phosphorus (P), stimulates plant growth and helps protect the plant root zone against some pathogenic fungi.

CKC RHIZOFLO also contains A. brasilense, which provides plants with bioavailable nitrogen (N), which promotes root and vegetative development. N is required for chlorophyll
production and amino acid synthesis.

Application

CKC RHIZOFLO is applied as a seed dressing or drench, depending on the crop. First, prepare a slurry with inoculant and 150ml of clean water with 2/3 tsp of sugar to give more protection to the bacteria. Preferably use eccentric shaft rotating drums with interior fixed blades. It is recommended to place the seeds half the capacity of the drum and then apply half of the slurry smoothly rotated. Add the remaining broth and seeds; gently roll the drum for uniform application across the surface of the treated seeds. Leave to air in a cool place away from sunlight and proceed with planting. Calibrate the planter with seed treated for it to flow more slowly.

Application rates:

  • Seed Dressing
    • Maize, Sorghum - 500ml/100kg seed
    • Wheat - 400ml/100kg seed
    • Tomatoes - 50-70ml/kg seed
  • Drench (sowing)
    • Tomatoes - 2% concentration

Storage

Store CKC RHIZOFLO in a cool dry place. May be kept for up to 18 months in an original an opened container maintained at 4° C.
