REDTOP FLY CATCHER is an outdoor hanging attract-and-trap system comprised for the management of a wide variety of fly pests. These traps are well suited to be used as part of an IPM program for trapping flies.

Works well on House flies, Sciarid flies, Fruit flies and Horse flies. Suitable for farms, dairies, homes, stables, ranches and food processing areas.

Mode of Action

REDTOP FLY CATCHER traps are placed outdoors near areas affected by flies where they attract and trap the flying adults (mostly female) in water at the bottom of the bag. Each bag can trap up to 20,000 adults and each bait lasts between 6-8 weeks. Reusable bags are available which can be cleaned and reused.

Instructions for Use

  1. Remove the red top from the dish then carefully unfold the bag.
  2. Straighten the mesh cone and ensure the small hole is open.
  3. Add the bait to the bag and add 1 litre of lukewarm water. If the solution appears cloudy, allow to stand for 24 hours.
  4. Replace the red top on the dish and lock in place.
  5. Hang outdoors at least 15m away from buildings, in an area with good sunlight.
  6. When the trap is full or no longer effective, wrap in a suitable bag and dispose.
